Product Overview
KORVANTO CARBO™ is a premium-quality lustrous carbon additive manufactured from carefully selected carbonaceous materials and processed to deliver superior performance in green sand molding systems. Designed specifically for ferrous foundries it improves casting surface finish reduces sand-related defects and enhances molding sand performance.
When exposed to molten metal temperatures KORVANTO CARBO™ generates a reducing gaseous atmosphere and forms a lustrous carbon layer at the mold-metal interface. This protective carbon film acts as a non-wetting barrier between molten metal and molding sand minimizing metal penetration sand adhesion burn-on defects and surface irregularities.
